Stillwater, Okla. – The OSU Department of Parking and Transit Services is excited to present the newest edition to the OPTIONS campaign; a new on-line software program which will match up individuals wishing to carpool from the same locations. This software is called “GreenRide.”

Located under the heading “OSU Carpool Matching” at www.parking.okstate.edu, the “GreenRide” OPTION is free to the user and provides a searching capability to locate other riders with similar schedules that commute to campus. The GreenRide carpool matching software not only locates other commuters that live in close proximity to each other but records travel savings, greenhouse gas emission savings, and identifies personal preferences like smoking versus non-smoking participants. This is a great opportunity for students and employees of OSU to reduce congestion, provide alternative transportation, and keep the environment clean!

OSU cannot make any assurances about the people who use our service, but with some common sense precautions you can find a ride, help the traffic congestion, do something good for the environment, and have fun!
